during the summer of 2023 I was a campagin assistant for rob saka. i joined because of rob’s comitmeant to increasing acsess to public transportation, as well as his inspiring energy that i knew would serve my city well. my main role was to canvass. though i learned that is everyone’s main role in local elections. i quite enjoyed getting to expirence my neighborhood through canvassing as it brought me to new corners, and illuminated what my nerighbors cared about most.
